In Home Senior Care Solutions for Your Loved Ones
Since 2009, Regency Home Care of North Atlanta has been a premiere Atlanta home care agency, providing dedicated care solutions to clients throughout the North Atlanta area. We offer home care assistance to meet your loved one’s specific care needs – so they can remain living independently.
Facing the challenges that come with aging and the frailty of a loved one can seem overwhelming, but we believe that remaining at home with assistance provides the needed safety and encourages independence and well-being. There is something comforting about being home, surrounded by familiar surroundings, friends and family.
Our knowledgeable and experiencedRegistered Nurses will comprehensively assess each individual situation and work with you and your family to develop a plan of care specific to your personal needs. Our highly qualified caregivers provide the needed assistance, companionship and interactive activities right where you live. We are dedicated to improving the quality of life and client independence through compassionate care and uncompromising service.
We created Regency Home Care because of our own personal experiences with aging parents and the difficult decisions that need to be made proactively to ensure their health and well-being. Life is already complicated, but when faced with the added responsibility of caring for a parent and making life-changing decisions, it can be overwhelming physically and emotionally… That’s why we’re here to help.
Home care support can be in many forms from pure companionship through Personal Care to support the Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s), professional care at home after hospitalization or surgery, respite care for family members, through in-home hospice support. Our free initial assessment will help you determine the level of service you need with each personalized plan of care individually designed, updated and supervised by a Registered Nurse.
Regency is dedicated to improving the quality of life and client independence through compassionate care and uncompromising service.
Companion Care / Sitter Services
Companion Care or Sitter Services are non-medical, basic supervision services to ensure a client’s safety and well-being. Overall wellness is not just a person’s physical health, but is also their emotional health, so care must also place an emphasis on social awareness, to enable their living independently at home. Services are designed to be appropriate for both the traditional home environment as well as independent or assisted-living residents. From simple social companionship to sharing their favorite pastime, our caregivers seek to encourage clients to bathe, get dressed and take their medication, to go out for various social activities.
Companion Careprograms include (but are not limited to):
- Socialization and Companionship
- Meal Planning and Preparation
- Light Housekeeping and Laundry
- Transportation to Activities
- Shopping and Errands
- Escorting on Appointments
- Medication Reminders
- Planning and Encourage Social Activities
- Organization of Mail and Paperwork
- Safety, Comfort and Peace of Mind
- Pet and Houseplant Care
Companions can spend selected days in a week or a few hours a day with the senior. This service can also double as safety supervision for those living alone.
Personal Care Services are for those who would benefit from an elevated level of assistance with personal grooming, hygiene, toileting assistance, mobility assistance, eating and feeding, as well as monitoring of vital signs. By providing clients with Personal Care at home, we help them maintain good hygiene and regular eating/medication intake habits necessary to their health. Mobility assistance provides the client lifts and transfers, exercising, and walking enabling the senior to maintain a more active life.
Our caregivers are there to assist the client to feel their best. They assist the client to accomplish the activities of daily living. Beyond companionship and performing basic housekeeping tasks, Regency caregivers provide a customized plan of care that delivers the personal care to meet your needs as defined by our Registered Nurse regular reviews. More importantly, the Personal Care staff can provide safety supervision. In case there are emergencies at home, your caregiver can immediately alert family members or coordinate with medical professionals directly. Many times, Private Duty Personal Care Services can mean the difference between staying in the comfort of your own home or moving to a variety of alternative living environments.
Private Duty Personal Caregivers assist with (but are not limited to):

Respite Care Services provide assistance and support to primary caregivers. Since caring for our loved one can be demanding, it sometimes proves mentally and physically challenging, so taking a break from caregiving is very beneficial to strengthen the ability of the primary caregiver.
You can rest assured and have piece of mind that Regency Home Care can provide the primary caregiver a temporary opportunity to rest and relax. You can go on vacation, go out of town for the weekend, or simply rest at night to recover your strength. Regency Home Care has your back! We will watch your senior loved one while you get your much-needed breather.
In Georgia, an unlicensed person trained by an RN is now permitted to provide health maintenance activities, such as medication administration. This process, done with an agency having a Skilled Nurse License, involves an in-depth training and certification process, results in what’s known as a Proxy Caregiver.
Regency Home Care is one of the few elite senior home care agencies that have embraced the Proxy Caregiver concept in order to extend our services to clients that simply need more skilled support, particularly in the area of medication administration, than the coverage typically offered by other home care agencies.
Proxy Caregiver Services include (but are not limited to):
- Medication Administration
- Diabetes/Insulin Management
- Feeding tube assistance
- Foley Catheter Care
- Ostomy and Colostomy Maintenance
- First Aid and Minor Dressing Changes
- Other Routine Nursing Skills
- Ask for more information about other health maintenance activities we may assist with
Please note that on many occasions we are asked to extend these services to clients residing in independent or assisted living facilities where the facility itself is not licensed to provide these support services. This can prolong the client’s stay in the respective facility where otherwise they might have to be discharged.
Through our Director of Nursing, RN, Regency Home Care of North Georgia provides a detailed assessment of each client and Plan of Care to direct the efforts of our care staff and help the family navigate the healthcare challenges and determine the best care for the client.
Our Skilled Care Management Includes:
- Nursing Assessment
- Plan of Care –
- Reviewed every 60 to 90 days
- More frequently if necessary
- Care coordination and direction of care staff
- Medication Review
- Review with client physicians where adverse reactions are noted
- Therapy Assessment
- With recommendations to Home Health where necessary
- After Surgical Care and Rehabilitation
- Certified Medication Aide with Proxy Caregiver Training
- Other Skilled Care as Prescribed by Physician
An unexpected hospitalization and a planned surgery have one thing in common: when coming home, it is hard to know at what level you will function and how long it will take to resume normal activities. Receiving additional care post hospitalization or after surgery helps to facilitate a quick recovery and prevent hospital readmission. Studies have shown that over ½ of all patients return to the hospital within 30 without thorough and well thought out transition plans to their home environment. Regency Home Care helps bridge this gap with just the right amount of professional support that has proven to decrease hospital readmissions and improve your loved one’s recovery time.
